Tim Womer Moves Up to Chief Technology Officer at Xaloy

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (May 7) – Xaloy has named Tim Womer as chief technology officer. He was formerly vice president of engineering.

“Tim is shifting his focus from day-to-day operations to a future-oriented mission of building and strengthening our technology around the globe,” said Walter Cox, CEO. “He will take the lead in new product development, recruiting and training technical personnel and supporting our global sales and marketing organization in bringing the benefits of Xaloy plastics processing expertise and product technology to customers around the world,” he added.

Tim Womer is a recognized authority in plastics technology and machinery with numerous patents and many published papers for technical conferences of SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers) and other industry groups. He has special expertise in process engineering and in the design of screws, screw mixers and heat transfer rolls.

Mr. Womer is also a leader in industry organizations. His term as president of SPE ends this week, and he will continue as a member of SPE’s Executive Committee as past president for the next two years. He has also held leadership positions in SPI (the Society of the Plastics Industry), including the chairmanship of the Conference and Seminar committee for NPE and Plastics USA exhibitions.
