With over 30 years in the roll business, XALOY is recognized around the world as an industry leader with state-of-the-art, proven products including its EquaTherm and DuraShell heat transfer rolls. Now, XALOY has taken a big step forward, boldly investing for the future by consolidating multiple roll Manufacturing and refinishing operations into a single, state-of-the-art facility in New Castle, PA.

Highlights of Xaloy's rolls manufacturing investment include: 1.) Cross-functional core-product team (engineering, purchasing, production, service) in one location to maximize Customer Care 2.) Over 25 machine tools relocated for comprehensive roll fabrication and refinishing 3.) Tooling and processes upgraded to improve part quality, accuracy and size capabilities 4.) Visual single-piece material flow to minimize lead-times and maximize flexibility 5.) Optimized layout to increase capacity 6.) Lean focus factory to drive continuous improvement.

This ambitious undertaking reflects Xaloy’s long term commitment to the rolls business. As a future – focused company, Xaloy reasoned the ideal time to invest was during a recession -- so we can support our customers interests as growth rebounds.
